Before I moved into a counselling career I was a mentor for young adults and adolescents who were questioning their gender identity and sexuality.

The method of Counselling I tend to favour is somewhat integrative as each person in front of me is unique and therefore it is my feeling that there counselling experience should respect that.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP); I have full indemnity insurance for my practice and I also receive regular clinical supervision.

While volunteering as a counsellor I developed an interest in research  particularwithin minority groups such as asylum seekers and people with gender and sexuality issues as my feeling is that this is an area which would benefit from further exploration. I am also a guest lecturer at Universities giving presentations centred around the gender spectrum and transgender issues.

I am also a qualified English teacher and have taught many people whereby English was not their first language.
